EARLY Lyft, bad suspension, easy flight to St Lucia, car ride with Ahmen to Royal St Lucia, rain, Roti, first Piton & first Baron’s, spa: steam sauna, cold pool, hot tub; happy hour at the hotel, pouring rain, walking to dinner, late night drinks with mama bear, buying joints, broken sandal, great bed

Saturday, November 10

Room 3317 slept late, drinks & lunch at pool bar, pouring. Pouring. Souvenir shop with amazing power ballads, Crazy Al’s for towels & ugly water shoes, six cart grocery shopping with great reusable bags at Massy, move on to the boat, meet Joe, Indian dinner on the boat, Clemson game on the radio, late night brose

Sunday, November 11

Leave Rodney Bay, sail 2.5 hours south to Soufriere, anchor in the bay, snorkeling, sulphur volcanic mud bath, bought 6 joints, Asian shrimp & rice dinner on the boat, Exploding Kittens game, mysterious flashlights in the trees, bat cave

Monday, November 12

Early start, long sailing day, rough waters & rocky boat, took a long pre-lunch nap, stopped for lunch & beach/float in St Vincent, delicious lunch sandwiches, boat 3 more hours south to Bequia, DOLPHINS SWAM WITH OUR BOAT!!!, happy hour cocktails at Plantation House, dinner w Kevin at Mac’s Pizza Kitchen, denied post dinner drinks at The Whale Boner, back to the boat, wine with Captain Joe

Tuesday, November 13

Slow morning getting more groceries & cleaning up the boat in Bequia, beautiful & enjoyable sail to Tobago Cays, most gorgeous water we have ever seen!, scuba with sea turtles, delightful swimming, really strong current, amazing lobster dinner on the beach (Big Mama), banana cake, embarrassing Americans (Massachusetts🙄) pirate party with black dildo & conga line, glow stick dance party, Calypso “beignet” “I never eat the white meat” “tantalizing scuba”, omg my feet hurt

Wednesday, November 14

Uh oh- generator down, mr generous banana cake no show, battery swap on the boat, hour boat ride to Mayreau, walk up the big hill to town, Catholic Church with a view, chats with John who knew of Golden State Warriors basketball & US politics, grocery store for deodorant, Gatorade, & banana cake; rum drinks at The Combination Cafe with a lovely view, walk back down the hill, beer at Mama Jean’s, swim back to the boat, unexpected detour to Union to fix our alternator, 45 minute excursion on the Union strip: seeing Big Mama again!, rum & coke in the bar with the swings, to-go cups, cute kiddos, booze at the grocery store, back to the boat, airplane aborted landing, very very choppy sail to Canouan, isolated bay to ourselves, Joe cooks us amazing curry conch & rice w lentils dinner ♥️, five crowns, scotch sipper

Thursday, November 15

Really really really windy & dramatic morning 7am sail from Canouan back to Bequia, saw a humpback whale, Shaina lost her first barracuda line fishing- but kept at it, snorkeling at the rock wall in Bequia, octopus, large cat “Sky Flirt” of Euro tourists at the beach, floating, gorgeous beach, great weather, veggie & rice lunch, swam into the beach bar, douche old guy who almost capsized his boat 🙄and his kind of new girlfriend , beautiful sail from Bequia back to quiet cove of St Vincent, Shaina caught a barracuda then she caught a huge kingfish!!, amazing sunset photos, bought bracelets from Kenneth, kingfish steaks for dinner, Paul Simon, five crowns

Friday, November 16

A bit choppy sailing as we left tip of St Vincent back over the straight to St Lucia but very enjoyable to all, gorgeous weather, stop for a great swim spot in front of the Pitons, strong current, float raft-up, leftover cold kingfish for lunch- amazing, sitting in the driver’s seat w Captain Joe, slow motor up the coast of St Lucia, second swim spot, jumps off the top of our boat, Joe surprised us with homemade rum punch!, charming Marigot Bay for the night, huge boats in our marina, free ferry across the bay for happy hour, hangry for dinner at Chateau Mygo, really good shrimp roti app, coconut chicken curry dinner, ferry across to another bar for night cap

Saturday, November 17

Easy morning & quiet sail back up to Rodney Bay to return the boat to the marina, sunny then pouring then sunny then pouring, back to Royal St Lucia hotel, all our friends from last week are working- we feel so popular, beach time, rum punch, duck-face girl instagram photo shoot in front of Moose’s chair, swimming in the rain, the most amazing showers, pre dinner drinks at Spinnaker’s chatting with Terry from Ohio in the reggae band, two for one drinks, dinner with the grumpy waitress, Clemson game on the laptop, waking up in the night & definitely feeling like you’re on the boat

Sunday, November 18

Group hotel breakfast buffet, easy drive to the airport, zero lines, bought Piton koozie & tea towel, chillin in the food court, dry ice party on the plane!!, Shaina & I got our own row, power naps, easy flight to JFK, trains all fatefully aligned for really fast commute to Barry & Sarah’s, chilled out w NFL & Indian delivery, crashed hard on the air mattress, woke up with the boat sways again
