It’s hard to believe that it’s been ten years since I lived in Seattle! When the opportunity arose for me to spend July and August back in this gorgeous city, I didn’t hesitate saying yes!

I’m fortunate enough to have some of my best friends in Seattle, so it has been a real treat to spend time with them, their kids, be on the water, eat fresh seafood, and revisit some of my favorite local spots.

Flying into one of my favorite places in the world!
Babysitting the Roo Crew
My friends needed help watching their three kids a few days a week for the summer, so Nanny-Schlemm answered the call. It’s been really fun getting to know them on an individual level, and most of all, spending as much QT with Hugo the doggo as possible.

Spoiled with homemade treats on my birthday!

Three Tree Point
My bestie Joe lives on the water in Three Tree Point and has all the water toys one could desire. It’s so relaxing to head down on a weekend to hang with friends on the beach, kayak, grill out, paddle board, etc. It’s a little oasis from the city only a quick train ride away!

This was a chilly but gorgeous day. Rainier in the background!

Got to bring my boyfriend Hugo down and he loved it!

Magical final evening in the PNW
Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens
My old buddy Glen asked if I wanted to take a spontaneous road trip down to Rainier and St. Helens one day and I jumped at the opportunity! He loves photography and is an ole pro navigating all the small fire roads to the most beautiful and lesser-known viewpoints. It was a great day of driving and magnificent scenery in a way only the PNW can deliver.

Portland, OR trip
The best way to getaway to Portland for a quick weekend jaunt is Amtrak! Joe, David, Lori, and I went down to visit Eli, Erin and Paul! The best times are best friend times!

Boat Days
Bestie David is in a boat share, making him a Most Valuable Friend to have! We got to go out for my birthday, Seafair, and a few other random days on the lake. Boating on Lake Washington is the epitome of enjoying summer in Seattle!

UW sailgating- It’s football season!!!
Duck Dodge
Yeeeah, more boating! Every Tuesday night on Lake Union there is a sailboat race and a group of my friends make up the committee that runs the race. There are 4 races and at the end everyone rafts up for one big party that lasts until 10pm when they make us break up. It’s one of my favorite Seattle experiences!

Eastlake
Walking in my old footsteps was magical and therapeutic. In my biased opinion, Eastlake is the most charming and delightful neighborhood in Seattle. I love all the mini parks on the lake and my favorite P-Patch in the whole city is located here!

The Lynnyale will always hold a place in my heart!
