Monday September 30
My train ride to Barcelona was easy and comfortable. I was so excited to get there and meet up with my dear friend, Fazi, that I had met in March at Wonderland Healing Center in Koh Phangan, Thailand. She was visiting Spain from Istanbul with another one of her Turkish friends, so we had arranged to meet up along with our other Wonderland friend, Maria, who lives in Barcelona! It worked out perfectly!
Fazi and I met up, dropped our bags at our Airbnb, and set off on foot to explore the city (ie: drink wine and eat tapas)!

Tapas at Bar Jai-Ca

Tuesday, October 1
We started our day at the delicious Flax & Kale just 5 minutes from our place. Amazing, delicious, fresh food to start our day!

Fresh kombucha, açaí bowl, egg toast, black tea
We then slowly walked around in the Gothic Quarter until 2pm when we did the Sandemans free walking tour. It was informative and fun, but by the time it was over, we were definitely ready to have some wine and tapas!

First stop was Mosquito Bar, recommended by our friend Maria. It’s Asian-inspired tapas, pho, dumplings and all things delicious!

Next was the historic Bodega Vasconia, which has been serving drinks and tapas since 1905!

Look how thick the Spanish tortilla is!!!
We continued on to Bistrot Levante, which was more Mediterranean tapas but absolutely delicious! We also witnessed a precious little girl befriend a doggo at another table by coming over and offering her bear to him in friendship. It was the sweetest, most genuine act I have ever seen!

We walked about 23,000 steps on this day and stayed out til about 2:30am! What a day! So much fun to tour the city with my dear friend!
